Network Airline Services (NAS) General Sales Agent of flydubai Cargo for the European Region

Established in March 2008, flydubai is Dubai’s first and only low-cost carrier and the fastest growing start-up airline in the world. Since commencing operations in June 2009, the airline has established an operational route network of more than 45 destinations across the GCC, Middle East, North Africa, Indian Subcontinent, Asia and Central & Eastern Europe and has built up fleet of 24 aircraft.

Owned by the Government of Dubai, the low-cost carrier supports the city’s commercial and tourism sectors by serving all travellers and providing them with affordable air links to a range of destinations.

The carriage of Cargo is an important aspect of flydubai’s growing commercial activity, and has recently expanded cargo marketing into Europe by appointing NAS – Network Airline Services, as the Cargo distribution Agent, in a number of European countries, including France, Germany and the Netherlands. NAS has 14 offices across Europe, and a strong presence in North America.

Using interline agreements with carriers such as Emirates and British Airways, connections are offered from all major European cities into the hub at Dubai, for distribution to the carriers network of destinations. Operating a fleet of Boeing 737-800NG aircraft each flight can accommodate up to 5000 kilos of freight, with a maximum piece size of 135 x 121 x 86 cms a maximum weight of 100kgs. Operating from Terminal 2, the transfer of cargo between flydubai flights can be undertaken in less than 4 hours, with transfers from other carriers in less than 24 hours, locally delivered cargo is accepted up to 6 hours before departure.

The frequency of flights, the smooth transfer of cargo and the quicker release at the destination is making flydubai cargo a popular choice for customers with priority shipments such as urgent spares, medical supplies and higher value consignments.

With the remainder of, flydubai’s 50-aircraft order made in July 2008 due to be delivered by 2016, flydubai is set to grow into a major force in the Middle East’s important air cargo industry.
