Pet Travel - Do you want to take your family Pet away with you? Thomson Airways are a market leader in flying Pets to and from the UK.
Thomson Airways Cargo can provide a fast and safe service to transport your Pet to an airport nearest to your holiday home. Your pet can be carried in our temperature-controlled baggage holds on most of our flights to or from Austria, Barbados, Balearics, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Cape Verde, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Greek Islands, India, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Kenya, Malta, Mexico, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Turkey, Dominican Republic, and Florida USA.
Transporting pets can be complicated, and expensive and we recommend you become fully informed regarding the movement of your pet, i.e. cost, availability and any requirements that may be needed, especially if you wish to travel on the same flight, therefore we suggest you download and read the Thomson Airways Shippers Responsibilities document and the ‘Conditions of Carriage’ before proceeding to book the Pet's travel.
Your pet must travel in a IATA approved container which can be obtained from various suppliers. You can use your own container, but please be careful as some containers will not be approved under IATA regulations.
Notes for transporting your pet:-
Your pet will not be allowed in the cabin, it will travel in the cargo hold, which is pressurised and temperature controlled.
If travelling within Europe you must ensure that you have a fully compliant Pet Travel EU Passport, Pet Passport Scheme for travel outside of Europe you must ensure that your pet complies with the relevant vaccination and veterinary requirements or/and an Import Permit from the country of destination, any doubts, you should contact the Embassy of the country of destination.
In most cases, if you are also travelling, your pet should be able to travel on the same flight.
Note. We do not take cats or dogs under 12 weeks of age.
Tranquilisation is NOT recommended for air transport of animals.
